WELCOME TO MICROCURRENT THERAPY TRAINING

About Microcurrent

Worldwide recognition of Microcurrent Therapy began when professional athletes, and Olympic greats used microcurrent to accelerate healing of injuries.

Professional athletes such as Joe Montana, and renowned golfer Jack Nicklaus made headlines using microcurrent therapy to accelerate the healing process. In different parts of the country, a small but growing community of microcurrent practitioners developed new techniques and protocols for treating pain and injury.

As popularity grew, manufacturers of microcurrent devices developed cosmetic devices for the delicate muscles of the face, and marketed specifically to skin care professionals.

Today, microcurrent devices are used by skincare professionals, and a wide range of healthcare practitioners such as doctors, chiropractors, acupuncturists, physical therapists, massage therapists and veterinarians. Interest in microcurrent continues to soar. Studies support that microcurrent accelerates wound healing, tendon and ligament repair. Studies also suggest that microcurrent treatment may offer some relief for insomnia and depression.

Microcurrent is part of the Emerging Field of Bioelectricity; the effect that current has on living tissue and how our bodies produce it.

Microcurrent Therapy is non-invasive, painless, and effective electrotherapy. Microcurrent devices deliver tiny doses of healing current to local tissue. Microcurrent is often utilized in rehabilitation programs along with other physical therapy treatments for a variety of sports and recreational injuries.

There are possible and probably mechanisms that may explain how microcurrent accelerates tissue healing but there isn't a definitive theory how microcurrent works. This fascinating science is so promising that British pharmaceutical giant Glaxo Smith Kline (GSK) and Alphabet, the parent company of Google formed a partnership calling it the "marriage of biology and technology." They are betting that research will lead to future breakthroughs in treating chronic conditions as well as spinal cord injuries.

Moncel Slaoui, GSK's Chairman of Global Vaccines said, "Many of the processes of the human body are controlled by electrical signals firing between the nervous system and the body's organs, which may become distorted in many chronic diseases. Bioelectronic medicine's vision is to employ the latest advances in biology and technology to interpret this electrical conversation and to correct the irregular patterns found in disease states, using miniature devices attached to individual nerves. If successful, the approach offers the potential for a new therapeutic modality alongside traditional medicines and vaccines."
