Barbara Berger, L.Ac instructs health and skin care professionals on the use of microcurrent therapy in medicine and aesthetics. Ms. Berger worked as an acupuncturist in a hospital in Colombo, Sri Lanka for one year after receiving her license in 1979. Upon returning to San Francisco, Ms. Berger opened her acupuncture and microcurrent practice. Noticing improvement in skin texture on the face and body after treating scars and other conditions with microcurrent, Ms. Berger trained with Neil Goldfarb, DC who developed the original techniques and protocols for facial rejuvenation.
All of the aesthetic benefits of microcurrent are derived from microcurrent use in medicine. As interest in the use of microcurrent in aesthetics grew, manufacturers designed proprietary programs based on the original work of Dr. Goldfarb.. We offer this training along with advanced techniques and protocols based on over 30 years of clinical experience. Our training is specialized for both health and skin care professionals.
In 2007, acupuncture schools invited Ms. Berger to teach pain management and facial rejuvenation for Continuing Education. Like acupuncture, it took a long time for interest in microcurrent to develop. Now, its time has come. Ms. Berger's articles in Acupuncture Today include Microcurrent for the Next Generation, Facial Rejuvenation-The Key to Exceptional Results and Touch, Movement and Microcurrent. Ms.Berger has presented seminars at the following symposiums and acupuncture schools:
